No one makes you mad, except yourself. He or she may do something that you dislike, but you choose how you are going to react to it. Don’t give others the power to choose your emotions.

Often these anger creating situations are a result of communication problems. Do people know if you are angry with them? Have you told them why or should they just “know”? Did you ask them their reason for doing whatever it was that bothered you?

This may be hard to believe, but very few people are spending their time thinking of ways to tick you off. The people with whom you disagree are probably not evil. They just see things differently (you might be surprised to find out how much you actually agree on).

Instead of anger, try choosing a positive response. See what you can come up with. You might even learn something.
